AURABAGS SHOP — Mobile App Privacy Policy

AURABAGS SHOP ("we", "us", "our") is an online store based in Ontario, Canada, operating the website aurabags.ca. This policy explains how our mobile apps — the AURABAGS SHOP app for Android and for iOS (together, the "App") — handle your information. The App is a shopping app for our store: it shows our catalog, keeps your cart, and takes you to our secure checkout.

This policy covers the App only. When you buy from us, your order information is also handled as described in our store's Privacy Policy, which applies to every AURABAGS SHOP order whether it starts on our website or in the App: https://aurabags.ca/policies/privacy-policy

The short version: the App contains no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking software. We don't sell your personal information. The App doesn't ask for your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or photos. Your payment card details go only to our payment providers through Shopify's secure checkout — they never pass through the App or to us.

1. What the App does

The App is a native app (not a website in a wrapper). It connects to our store platform, Shopify, to display products and prices for your country, manage your shopping cart, and hand you over to Shopify's secure checkout to pay. The App has no customer accounts of its own — there is no sign-in inside the App in this version.

2. Information that stays on your device

The App stores a small amount of shopping information only on your device, so it can remember your cart and preferences between visits:

• the ID of your Shopify shopping cart (the products themselves are kept in the cart on Shopify's system, not on your phone);
• your wishlist and the products you recently viewed;
• your appearance setting (light/dark) and your chosen shopping country ("market").

None of this includes your name, email, address, or payment information. It is not included in Android cloud backups or device transfers. You can erase it at any time by clearing the App's storage in your device settings (Android: Settings → Apps → AURABAGS SHOP → Storage → Clear storage; iOS: deleting and reinstalling the App removes it). Uninstalling the App removes it as well.

3. Information the App sends to Shopify while you shop

So the App can show you the store, some information is sent to Shopify (our store platform) when you use it:

• Your market country and language (for example "Canada / English") so we can show the right products and prices — see Section 5.
• What you browse and search for in the App — the product pages you request and the words you type into search are sent to Shopify so it can return the matching products. We do not keep a separate copy of your searches ourselves.
• Your cart contents — the items, quantities, and any discount code you enter, so Shopify can maintain your cart and calculate your total.
• Technical information that every internet request carries, such as your device's IP address and basic request information. Shopify's servers receive this as part of delivering the store to you, the same way any website or app works. We do not use your IP address to determine your precise location.

4. Checkout, payment, and your orders

When you check out, the App opens our store's secure checkout, hosted by Shopify, in your device's browser (or a secure browser view). Everything you enter there — your name, email, shipping and billing addresses, phone number, and payment details — is provided to Shopify and to the payment provider you choose (such as Shopify Payments or Shop Pay), on their secure pages. It is not entered into, seen by, or stored by the App.

• Payment card details are processed by Shopify and the payment providers. They never pass through the App, and we do not receive or store your full card number.
• Your order information (what you bought, where it is being shipped, and how to reach you about it) is stored in our store on Shopify and used to process, fulfill, and support your order — including sharing the necessary details with the suppliers and delivery partners who fulfill it (for example, print-on-demand and supplier-fulfilled products). • If you email us for support (support@aurabags.ca), we receive what you write and use it to help you.

5. Your market: how country selection works

Our products are priced and offered by country. To show you the right catalog:

• On first use, the App reads the country/region setting of your device (the region your phone is set to — for example, Canada or the United States). This is a device setting, not your location: the App has no location permission and cannot access GPS or precise location.
• You can change your market at any time in the App's country selector.
• The country you select is sent to Shopify with your browsing and cart so prices, availability, and checkout match that market.

6. Permissions, in plain language

• Internet access — so the App can reach our store. (On Android, the App also uses "network state" access so it can tell when you are offline.)
• That's all. The App does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, files, or notifications in this version. If a future feature ever needs a new permission, we will ask you first through your device's standard permission prompt and update this policy in the same release.

7. Cookies

The App itself does not set cookies. When you open checkout or our store's policy pages, those pages open in your browser, where Shopify's and our store's cookies apply as described in our store Privacy Policy. Your browser settings control those cookies.

8. Who your information is shared with

• We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising or tracking.
• Shopify provides the platform our store runs on (catalog, cart, checkout, and order records) and processes store information to provide that service.
• Payment providers you choose at checkout process your payment.
• Fulfillment suppliers and delivery partners receive the order details they need to make and deliver your purchase, as described in the store Privacy Policy.
• We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the security of our store.

9. International transfers

We are in Ontario, Canada. Shopify hosts store data on its global infrastructure, and our fulfillment suppliers are located in several countries, including Canada, the United States, and others. When you shop with us — on the website or in the App — your information may be processed in countries other than your own, where it may be subject to those countries' laws. This is described further in the store Privacy Policy.

10. How long information is kept, and deleting it

• On your device: the App's local shopping information stays until you clear the App's storage or uninstall the App (Section 2). Your cart also expires automatically on Shopify after a period of inactivity.
• Your store and order information (held by us on Shopify) is kept as described in the store Privacy Policy — generally for as long as needed for your orders, customer service, and our legal and tax record-keeping obligations — and you may ask us to delete it as described in Section 11.
• Checkout information you entered in your browser is held by Shopify and the payment providers under their handling described in the store Privacy Policy.

11. Your privacy rights

You have rights over your personal information, and you can exercise them by emailing support@aurabags.ca. We respond to requests within 30 days.

• All customers: you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you may withdraw consent to its use (for example, by unsubscribing from marketing emails — every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link).
• Canada (PIPEDA): you may also complain to us first, and then to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you are not satisfied with our response.
• Quebec: you also have rights of access, rectification, deletion (including asking us to stop disseminating your information in the circumstances the law provides), and data portability.
• European Union / United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR): where these laws apply to you, you also have rights to restrict or object to certain uses of your information and to complain to your local data protection authority.
• California: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law, and we honour access and deletion requests from any customer regardless of where they live.

For app-specific data, most information can be removed immediately by clearing the App's storage (Section 2); for store and order records, email us and we will action your request as described above.

12. How we protect information

All connections between the App and our store use encrypted HTTPS connections — the App does not permit unencrypted connections. Payment security is provided by Shopify's checkout and the payment providers (we never handle your full card number). No system is perfectly secure, but we choose platform providers and App designs that keep the information the App itself handles to the minimum described in this policy.

13. Children

Our store and the App are intended for adult shoppers and are not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@aurabags.ca and we will delete it.

14. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy whenever the App's practices change — for example, if a future version adds customer accounts, notifications, or analytics, this policy will describe them before or when that version is released. The current version always lives at this address, with the "Last updated" date at the top.

15. Contact us — including our privacy officer
